This week’s photo challenge on The Daily Post is Symmetry. My post portrays symmetry in themes – object, composition, figurative symmetry and composition for symmetric objects.
I will start in reverse order. As an object, the below graffiti on Brick lane, London is by far symmetrical. But, all photographer capture it in their own style – some include street and some people in their composition. However, I was overwhelmed by the genius of artist that decided to compose accordingly to highlight symmetry.
The next example is absolute symmetry is object – hand crafted by mother Nature.
The next example is photograph of a window grill. The grill was topped up wire to prohibit entry of pigeons. Here, I saw an opportunity for a B&W abstract of object.
The next abstract is photo is not symmetric in literal sense but uniform infusion of colors gives an impression of symmetry.
The last one is symmetry by composition. The trees are by no means symmetric but composition gives an impression of symmetry.
